Smart Ims is seeking an Electrician to join our team and contribute to the build, wiring, and installation of advanced industrial automation systems. The role focuses on assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting equipment per engineering designs and customer specs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualified applicants will have at least 4 years of electrical experience, hands-on control panel building and wiring, and the ability to read schematics.

Join our team as an Electrician and contribute to the successful build, wiring, and installation of advanced industrial automation systems. We are seeking skilled professionals with hands‑on experience in industrial control panel assembly and machine wiring who are committed to delivering high‑quality work in a safe, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Important: Experience with industrial control panel build and wiring is required for this role.

Job Description

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting industrial automation equipment in accordance with engineering designs, customer specifications, and applicable electrical standards. You will work collaboratively with project teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble industrial automation equipment according to approved electrical designs and customer specifications.
  • Build and wire industrial control panels.
  • Perform machine wiring and electrical installation in compliance with NEC standards.
  • Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot electrical wiring, components, and control circuits safely and effectively.
  • Document build changes, issues, and progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams regarding project status and open issues.
  • Execute assigned work with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
  • Support ISO standards and company quality initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Contribute to achieving project objectives related to quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with industrial control panel building and wiring.
  • Experience with machine wiring and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working on or beneath machinery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational or technical education in Electrical Technology or a related field.
  • Experience supporting industrial automation or custom machine builds.
