Qualifications

• Demonstrated safety focus and proactive application in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Adaptability to changing duties and eagerness to learn and apply new knowledge.
• Reliable team player with good communication skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and willing to work extra hours when needed.
• 3+ years in a heavy industrial environment; steel mill experience preferred.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with mobile equipment (rough terrain, lift, forklift).
• Familiarity with metric units is a plus.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel/Word/Outlook) beneficial.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, environmental, quality requirements and applicable standards are followed.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on complex electrical equipment (PLCs, control circuits, I/O, VFDs).
• Install or modify electrical equipment following codes and schematics with minimal instruction.
• Collaborate with mechanics and operations to maintain safety and reliability in a fast-paced mill environment.
