Job summary

Enviva is seeking an Electrical Technician to support production by troubleshooting and repairing electrical, controls, and select mechanical aspects of facilities equipment on assigned shifts.

You will analyze production data to improve safety, uptime, energy usage and overall equipment reliability while adhering to OSHA standards and Enviva safety practices. Candidates should have strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 4 years electrical experience.
• Proficient with hand and power tools for troubleshooting and repair.
• Must be proficient in basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to follow written and verbal job descriptions with safety focus.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety rules and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance and electrical field work on heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC controlled devices, MCCs, VFDs and instrumentation using drawings.
• Wire, troubleshoot and repair AC/DC circuits and distribution equipment.
• Identify corrective actions to improve reliability and uptime.
• Perform preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
• Monitor production parameters and adjust for safe, efficient performance.
• Adhere to safety practices and environmental controls on shift.
