Job summary
Sika seeks Maintenance Electrical Technicians for the Sealy, TX roofing operations. All shifts available. You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair and improve electrical, automation and control systems in a highly automated PVC plant, ensuring safe operation of extrusion lines and related equipment.
The ideal candidate has strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experience with PLCs, drives, HMIs, instrumentation, and power distribution.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree or Technical Certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems.
- Experience supporting PLC-controlled manufacturing systems.
- Experience in plastics, PVC extrusion, chemical processing, or automated manufacturing environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems up to 480V.
- Install, maintain, and repair motors, motor controls, starters, relays, and electrical distribution equipment.
- Diagnose and correct electrical failures in production machinery and facility systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and technical documentation.
- Perform electrical testing using multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain electrical panels, transformers, disconnects, breakers, power supplies, and control circuits.
- Identify root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
