Job summary

Sika in Sealy, TX is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support Roofing Operations. The role focuses on PLC/equipment interfaces, data collection, MES/SAP data flow, and plant-wide monitoring.

You will maintain and improve process controls, support extrusion lines, and help ensure reliable plant performance through proactive diagnostics and system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modify PLC/equipment interfaces, collect data, and support electrical instruments in plant operations.
• Improve plant efficiency, reliability, and repeatability.
• Support and monitor extrusion coating lines, mixing plants, and winder interface systems.
• Maintain process data collection from shop floor network feeding MES to SAP.
• Implement plant-wide communications/monitoring for Manufacturing Management.
• Network plant-wide raw material monitoring for manufacturing planning and inventory.
• Develop 24 hour/day support for M61 extrusion coating line (PLC-controlled production line).

Sika is looking for an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join it's growing team in Sealy, TX for Roofing Operations.

• The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, implementation, and modifications of all software-controlled PLC/equipment interfaces, data collection as well as the support of other standard electrical instruments and controls involved in the plant operations.
• Improvement of plant efficiency, reliability, and repeatability
• Support and Monitoring of extrusion coating lines, mixing plants, and winder software/PLC interface systems
• Maintain all process data collection from the shop floor network utilizing plc’s that feed the MES interface to the SAP system
• Implementation of plant wide communications/monitoring for Manufacturing Management
• Networking of plant wide raw material monitoring for manufacturing planning and inventory
• Development of 24 hour/day support for M61 extrusion coating line (PLC Controlled production line)
