Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for our Operations division in Greensboro, NC. You will plan, coordinate, and lead all electrical activities on industrial projects, coordinating with other trades and subcontractors as needed.

The role requires extensive NEC/OSHA knowledge, strong leadership of multiple crews, and a focus on safety, quality, and schedule. You will handle daily reporting, material takeoffs, and ensure deliveries align with the construction plan.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of electrical construction work.
  • 5 years of foreman experience.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, and NFPA 70E standards.
  • Experience managing large-scale industrial electrical projects from planning through commissioning.
  • Proficiency with MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, switchgear, substations, and power distribution systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple crews while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule objectives.
  • Troubleshooting, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • In-depth knowledge of: Power systems up to 6000v (15kv preferred); Control systems; RGC and PVC conduit; Cable tray; Duct banks; Cable pulling; Cable terminations; Gear installation; Grounding

Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
  • Develop and implement work plans with Foreman and craft teams to perform.
  • Have a good understanding of computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Motivate, supervise, and direct craft to meet work goals.
  • Support weekly schedule updates and labor hour projections.
  • Daily labor and equipment entry for all crews.
  • Author and submit daily reports.
  • Play a role in hiring and evaluating employees.
  • Evaluate the skill level of craftworkers and provide/coordinate training for employees.
  • Perform routine safety, environmental, and quality inspections.
  • Ability to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
  • Coordinate all related subcontractor needs and implementation.
  • Supervise electrical system installation, troubleshooting, and repair as needed.
  • Perform material takeoffs.
  • Ensure material orders and deliveries are scheduled to meet the construction schedule.
  • Ensure adequate inventory for planned work.
  • Comply with local and NEC electrical codes
  • Possess and implement Morgan Corp.’s social contract.
