Job summary

D&L Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to lead industrial projects, coordinating safety, scheduling and budgets while ensuring compliance with codes and client requirements.

You will work closely with foremen and the accounting team, manage field execution, and travel as needed to client sites across states. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3 years project management experience in heavy industrial or commercial settings (oil & gas, chemical, refining).
• Experience in turnarounds/shutdowns.
• Able to plan/organize work and interpret/communicate technical information.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Valid government-issued Driver’s License.
• Proof of Work Authorization.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety culture on projects and attend site safety meetings.
• Estimate material, personnel, and time requirements to complete projects.
• Coordinate proposals including budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and purchasing.
• Examine work orders to determine the proper action.
• Study blueprints and specifications to determine installation procedures.
• Perform take-offs and draft change orders.
• Order materials and coordinate multiple projects.
