Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Mechanical Electrical Tech for our Pittsburgh facility. This full-time role involves repairing and maintaining die units, conveyors, bindery and related equipment, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

The candidate will install, modify, repair and troubleshoot electrical lines, circuits and programmable controllers, while using hand tools, power tools and test equipment. Overtime and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery per diagrams, manuals and specs.
• Ability to install electrical lines, wiring, and programmable controllers in industrial settings.
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools and test equipment; able to diagnose faults without prints.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment per specs.
• Perform general repairs (building, drywall, painting).
• Follow electrical codes, schematics, blueprints and manuals.
• Connect power supply wires and cables between machines.
• Install/modify/repair/test electrical lines, circuits and fixtures.
• Replace AC/DC motors and plan wiring layouts.
• Diagnose and replace faulty components using test equipment.
• Work overtime and on-call as needed.
