Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking an Industrial Machinery Technician to repair and maintain a range of machinery and equipment per diagrams, manuals, and specifications. You will work on die units, glue units, conveyors, bindery equipment, and more, using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.

Responsibilities include installing and troubleshooting electrical lines, wiring, and programmable controllers, as well as diagnosing faults and replacing components.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of construction, installation, operation, and troubleshooting controls associated with unique projects.
• Skill in the use of hand tools, power tools and test equipment needed to perform job effectively.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical industrial equipment, including older equipment without PLCs.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to work overtime and be on-call on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment per diagrams, sketches, manuals, and specifications.
• General repairs: building, drywall, woodworking, ceiling tile, painting.
• Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires.
• Install, modify, repair, troubleshoot, test, and load electrical lines and controllers.
• Replaces AC/DC motors and plans wiring layouts.
• Detects malfunctioning equipment and replaces damaged wires and cables.
