Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. You will ensure NFPA 70B compliance, service power distribution equipment, motors, and controls, and maintain thorough documentation of activities.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance, strong electrical theory, and proficiency with testing equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial electrical installations.
• Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
• Proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to generate and review reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing in accordance with NFPA 70B, OEM specifications, and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat signatures and potential electrical faults.
• Complete visual inspections of electrical components, wiring, and connections to identify wear, contamination, or damage.
• Clean, lubricate, and mechanically service electrical equipment to ensure proper performance and longevity.
• Perform electrical testing on power distribution systems, control equipment, and motors to verify proper functionality.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, test results, corrective actions, and recommendations.
