Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to develop competitive, accurate estimates for a variety of electrical construction projects.

You will evaluate opportunities, analyze drawings and specs, and support pursuit strategies with cross-functional teams across North America. The role covers industrial electrical construction, medium-voltage systems, substations, renewable energy facilities, and mission-critical infrastructure, requiring strong analytical abilities and attention to

Qualifications

Requires estimating experience for electrical construction projects.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with estimating software.
Bachelor-level degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to determine project scope.
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for electrical construction.
Develop labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and indirect cost estimates.
Collaborate with procurement and suppliers for pricing and vendor quotes.
Maintain organized estimate files and historical cost data.
Support bid reviews, project handoffs, and turnover meetings.
