Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to develop competitive, accurate estimates for a diverse portfolio of electrical construction projects across North America.

The role involves analyzing drawings, specifications, and bid documents, and collaborating with Operations, Procurement, and subcontractors to position projects for successful execution. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proven experience in electrical construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years of estimating, project engineering, project management, or related infrastructure experience.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, budgets, and project pricing strategies.
• Ability to travel approximately 25% for meetings and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor estimates.
• Collaborate with procurement for pricing.
• Support bid reviews and project handoffs.
• Identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain organized estimate files.
