Job summary

Winn-Marion Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support electrical design for industrial projects at our Centennial, CO location.

The role focuses on power systems, control systems, and package skids with opportunities to work nationwide; relocation is available for the right candidate. You should have a BS in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in E Plan or AutoCAD (Electrical a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering; equivalent accepted.
• Ability to handle design and support of multiple projects at the same time.
• Must communicate with peers, engineers, and clients clearly and efficiently.
• Must be a self-starter capable of handling solo projects as well as working with a group, eager to learn and expand your skill set, and be detail oriented.
• Proficient with E Plan or AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations and develop drawings and visual aids for power system engineering and design development.
• Design low voltage electrical distribution systems for industrial facilities; prepare single-line drawings, plans, wiring schematics, schedules, heat tracing.
• Perform electrical system studies and calculations (load, harmonics, voltage drop, short circuit, coordination, arc flash).
• Design electrical systems including MV switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, and distribution panels.
• Provide design for lighting, fire alarm and grounding systems.
• Review instrumentation, control system P&IDs, mechanical systems and related electricals; review shop drawings.
• Perform field inspections and participate in system startup activities.
• Exposure to motors, motor controllers, starters, drives, transformers.
• Maintain professional behavior and communication with internal/external contacts; comply with safety procedures.
