Job summary

AMG, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our Electrical & Instrumentation Department in Dayton, OH area. You will collaborate with engineers and clients to develop electrical drawings for industrial facilities, including power distribution, controls, and lighting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 2+ years of industrial electrical design experience; travel to client sites and HQ commuting will be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design or Electrical Engineering Technology with 2+ years of work experience in electrical design for industrial environments.
• If you have a 2-year degree in Electrical Designer or EET, you must have at least 4 years of demonstrated work experience.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Familiarity with single-line diagrams and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, clients, and the panel fabrication shop to design electrical systems.
• Design power distribution, controls systems, and lighting for industrial environments, and develop electrical drawings for various facilities and plants.
• Support projects from concept through commissioning with cross-disciplinary teams.
