Job summary

Owens Corning in Joplin, MO is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to provide mechanical and electrical support for the mineral wool plant. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on motors, panels, drives, and automation systems in a team-driven environment.

The role requires strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and HMI programming, plus the ability to read schematics and P&ID drawings.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience or education.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
Must pass a physical and drug screen and a background check.

Responsibilities

Work from a planned work order process and complete records, CMMS updates, and SAP duties.
Assist in developing and completing PM and Predictive maintenance for motors, panels and electrical components.
Update drawings or documentation as required.
Troubleshoot/commission VFDs and motion control drives and communicate with outside technical support.
