Job summary

Owens Corning in Grove City, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift (4/10s). This on-site role collaborates with the Engineering Leader to build, install, and repair equipment, ensuring safe operation and adherence to maintenance schedules.

Candidates bring at least 5 years in electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic/robotic systems; High School diploma; welding skills a plus; ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five years of experience in electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics or equivalent.
• Prefer maintenance vocational training certificates.
• Prefer PLC/Programming certificates or experience.

Responsibilities

• Comply with plant rules and safety procedures.
• Ensure proper and safe operation of machinery and perform preventive maintenance.
• Plan and perform work requiring electrical, mechanical knowledge.
• Read schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Assist with welding for fabrication and modifications.
• Build equipment for new products and prototypes.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in machinery (hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical).
• Maintain maintenance records and spare parts inventory.
