Job summary

North American Stainless is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service the plant's electrical, electronic, and automation systems. The role focuses on breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and downtime projects, with collaboration across Maintenance Engineers and Operations personnel to ensure repairs meet plant needs.

The technician will work on both downtime and running equipment, document work, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic steel production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical college degree in Electronics or Industrial Automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to automation and electrical breakdowns on process lines and perform repairs.
• Repair or replace defective components affecting process lines and install parts as needed.
• Complete maintenance work orders for electrical, mechanical and automation tasks.
• Log daily work and coordinate with Maintenance Turn Leader and Supervisors.
• Report major system problems to assigned Engineer and maintain calibration logs.
• Perform housekeeping and miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisors.
