Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking an Apprentice Electrician in Irving, TX to join our team and learn under Journeyman and Master Electricians as you assist in installation, alterations, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.

This safety-sensitive position requires a high school diploma or GED, a TX Electrical Apprentice License (to be obtained/renewed), a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background checks. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must obtain and renew annually a State approved Electrical Apprentice License (TX).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain and test electrical equipment and wiring in commercial/industrial settings.
• Prepare work area for installation of equipment.
• Install or help install electrical components.
• Connect wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.
• Keep materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly and properly working fashion.
• Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
• Assist in wire pulls, mounting, and strapping.
• Understand and comply with safety requirements at all times.
• Produce quality of work that meets NEC requirements and Company standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes.
