Job summary

Power & Construction Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the Industrial Electric Division in Rochester, NY.

The role focuses on supporting electrical project portfolios, bidding, scheduling, procurement, and maintaining safety and quality standards. You will coordinate with customers, manage material and labor planning, and help drive on-time project delivery while nurturing client relationships and internal collaboration.

Qualifications

• Construction knowledge required, electrical construction knowledge strongly preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of project management experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone and email.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Support bidding process: attend pre-bid meetings, coordinate with vendors for pricing, complete material takeoffs, process RFIs, prepare estimates and bids.
• Plan and schedule work with customers, communicate progress and changes.
• Line up required material, machinery and tools; schedule project tasks.
• Develop site-specific safety plans with the Safety department; manage apprenticeship programs.
• Produce reports, monitor progress, troubleshoot challenges and maintain customer relationships.
