Job summary

Harmoni in New York City is seeking an Embedded Linux & Edge Platform Engineer to build and integrate the embedded software and hardware platform powering our industrial devices. The role spans bootloaders, kernels, containers, device interfaces, and OTA updates, requiring a systems-oriented engineer who can work across layers.

You will contribute to a full-stack device platform, collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Deployment to deliver reliable, scalable edge solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded Linux, edge computing, or device infrastructure.
• Strong debugging across hardware, OS, containers, networks.
• Experience with Yocto and BitBake.
• Proficiency with ARM-based systems, bootloaders, device trees.
• Practical experience with Docker and containerized applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop Harmoni’s embedded Linux platform using Yocto/BitBake.
• Maintain board support packages, system config, and build infra.
• Configure U-Boot, kernels, and device trees for ARM platforms.
• Build software across Harmoni’s edge application stack and services.
• Collaborate across hardware interfaces, containers, and OTA/fleet infra.
