Job summary

Celanese is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our maintenance team in Grover, NC. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of plant electrical and instrumentation systems, with a 10-hour shift and on-call responsibilities.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years’ experience in industrial E&I maintenance, familiarity with PLCs, DCS, and SAP, and the ability to read schematics and use test equipment. Safety and craftsmanship are emphasized in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience maintaining and repairing Electrical & Instrumentation Equipment in Industrial / Manufacturing environments.
• Experience reading schematics.
• Experience using test equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on motor control centers; repair or replace motors as needed.
• Input data into SAP and payroll systems; track parts and time charged to work orders.
• Calibrate instruments and maintain calibration records; perform ISO calibration on sensors and controllers.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment including motors, generators, AC drives, and panels.
• Use PPE and lockout/tagout procedures; follow Celanese safety policies.
