Job summary

Powerserve Technologies is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to support industrial electrical construction and instrumentation projects in the Naples, Florida area. The role focuses on wiring, installation, and troubleshooting of field instrumentation in water and wastewater facilities.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, capable of working independently or with a team, and will read diagrams and specifications while ensuring compliance with OSHA and NFPA

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Electrical, E&I, Instrumentation, or industrial electrical technician.
• Experience in industrial construction, manufacturing, utilities, power generation, or water/wastewater facilities.
• Ability to install and terminate electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Experience reading electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Familiarity with motors, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and field instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and troubleshoot power, control, and instrumentation wiring.
• Install conduit, cable tray, junction boxes, and associated electrical equipment.
• Install and wire motors, VFDs, control panels, and other electrical equipment.
• Install field instrumentation, including pressure, level, flow, and temperature devices.
• Perform instrument terminations, loop checks, and functional testing.
• Read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings, and construction documents.
• Verify proper installation and operation of electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Assist with equipment startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and testing.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Work collaboratively with electricians, controls technicians, engineers, and project management.
