Job summary

Transmission & Distribution World is seeking an experienced E&I Technician for a 12-hour rotating shift at our Virginia site. The role involves maintenance, calibration, and repair of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment, with hands-on work on motors, drives, and control systems.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in industrial maintenance, strong schematic reading, and proficiency with test equipment and SAP. Onsite schedule requires team collaboration and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing Electrical & Instrumentation Equipment in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Experience reading schematics and using test equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Checks and performs preventive maintenance on motor control center equipment; repairs or replaces motors as needed.
• Operates SAP to input data such as time, material charged to work orders, and historical equipment data.
• Maintains calibration records, procedures, and manuals regularly.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electronic equipment and electrical circuits daily using meters and scopes.
• Supports plant operations with knowledge of DCS, PLCs, and control instrumentation.
