Job summary

Taurus Industrial Group in Clute, TX is seeking an experienced E&I Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for electrical and instrumentation work across refinery, petrochemical, and other industrial projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years experience in electrical and instrumentation estimating in industrial environments.
• Experience developing estimates for industrial E&I construction, maintenance, or capital projects.
• Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, P&IDs, one-line diagrams, and electrical plans.
• Experience detailed quantity take-offs and labor-hour estimates.
• Experience evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Experience with estimating software; Bluebeam preferred.
• Valid driver's license and travel eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Review bid invitations, drawings, specs, scope documents, schedules, and contract requirements to understand project needs.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Develop detailed labor-hour estimates based on quantities and crew composition.
• Prepare material, equipment, subcontractor, and indirect cost estimates.
• Incorporate vendor and subcontractor quotations into estimates.
• Identify scope gaps and risks affecting pricing or execution.
• Develop bid assumptions, clarifications, and exclusions.
• Prepare estimates, pricing summaries, and bid proposals for management review.
