Job summary

Taurus Industrial Group is seeking an E&I Estimator in Clute, TX, to develop cost estimates for electrical and instrumentation work across refinery, petrochemical, and manufacturing sectors. The role involves scope review, quantity take-offs, labor/material pricing, and bid package preparation for management and customers.

The position requires experience interpreting drawings/specs, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with operations, engineering, procurement, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years in electrical and instrumentation estimating in industrial environments.
• Experience developing estimates for industrial electrical/instrumentation work.
• Experience interpreting drawings, P&IDs, one-line diagrams, and specs.
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating software; Bluebeam preferred.
• Valid driver's license and travel to sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Review bid documents to understand project requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for E&I systems and materials.
• Develop labor-hour estimates based on quantities and methods.
• Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Solicit quotes and incorporate vendor/subcontractor pricing.
• Support bid reviews and provide pricing recommendations.
