Job summary

Streamline Industrial Group seeks an estimator to prepare detailed project estimates and competitive bids for industrial and electrical construction. You will work with project managers during preconstruction to assess scope, risks, and costs, and ensure bids meet deadlines.

The role requires 3–5 years in industrial/electrical estimating, familiarity with NEC codes, E&I drawings, and experience with McCormick or Bluebeam. Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience estimating industrial and/or electrical construction projects
• Strong understanding of NEC codes, instrumentation standards, and industrial construction practices
• Proficiency reading E&I drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications
• Proficiency with estimating software (McCormick preferred) and other construction tools like Bluebeam
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project estimates and cost proposals for industrial and commercial electrical construction projects
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to assess scope, site conditions, and risks
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and bid documents
• Perform material, labor and equipment takeoffs
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Identify project risks, exclusions and potential cost impacts
• Work closely with Project Management and Operations
• Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
