Job summary

DuraServ is seeking an Apprentice Technician in Greensboro, NC, on site, to learn and assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial door and dock equipment. Youll work under experienced technicians, gain practical skills, and contribute to safe, quality service at customer locations.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a willingness to learn welding, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems, and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; trade school acceptable.
• Experience with welding, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is preferred.
• A valid current state-issued drivers license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, service, and maintenance of commercial dock and door equipment under supervision.
• Learn mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with guidance from experienced technicians.
• Use hand and power tools safely to support installation tasks and basic fabrication.
• Maintain a safe, clean job site and adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Document basic service activities and communicate job status to mentors and customers.
