TMS International in Braddock, PA is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot off-road heavy diesel equipment used in operations at steel-mill sites. This full-time, on-site role requires hands-on expertise and a commitment to safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of diesel mechanics experience, familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and the ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel mechanics experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Ability to diagnose using tools and read schematics.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is desirable.
• Willingness to work in varying steel-mill environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines.
• Inspect equipment to prevent failures and ensure safety.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and implement solutions.
• Maintain records of parts and labor; report needs to management.
• Collaborate with team and provide guidance as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives.
