Job summary

DoorDash Labs is seeking an Industrial Designer to own the design of physical products, guiding form, function and manufacturability from concept to production launch.

You will lead end-to-end design projects, develop sketches, CAD/3D models, renders and prototypes, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, user-research and marketing to ensure feasibility, cost-effectiveness and brand alignment across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industrial/product-design experience (or equivalent portfolio).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating concept ideation, CAD/3D modelling, prototyping and product launches.
• Proficiency with CAD/3D software and rendering tools; able to go from sketch to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design projects: sketches, CAD/3D models, renderings and physical prototypes.
• Research user needs, materials, manufacturing processes and competitive products.
• Translate design intent into specifications: materials, geometry, finishes and ergonomics.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, user-research and marketing for feasibility.
