Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking its first Industrial Designer to tackle complex workflows for software engineers who develop autonomous machines and corresponding hardware.

As a highly collaborative designer, you will be responsible for creating design themes, prototyping hardware, and ensuring production-ready concepts while working within 5-week release cycles and close collaboration with PM, Eng, and BD.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Industrial design experience.
• Prototype and develop hardware for software in fast-paced, technical environments.
• Keen sense of human factors and user-centered design.
• Ability to translate complex engineering constraints into intuitive designs.
• Bachelor's in Human-Computer Interaction or related design field.

Responsibilities

• Develop design themes for hardware concepts from sketch, prototype, to production.
• Build and iterate physical prototypes to inform product architecture with human factors in mind.
• Ship new features in 5 week release cycles.
• Communicate design intent through sketches, CAD, prototypes, CMF strategy and design docs.
• Collaborate with PM, Eng, and BD on highly technical engineering challenges.
