Job summary

Ditch Witch, a premier division of The Toro Company, seeks an Industrial Designer I at our Perry, Oklahoma site. You will contribute to industry-leading product appearance and human–machine interfaces, creating concept sketches and renderings, and building solid models with CAD tools.

Collaborate with engineering and marketing to refine designs and prototypes. You will drive scale mock-ups, test prototypes, and help ensure designs meet specs, cost targets, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial design, engineering, graphic arts, or drafting.
• Ability to construct full-scale mockups using common materials.
• Strong visual communication skills with hand and CAD drawings.
• Interest in the design and use of mobile equipment.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD software (Creo/Solid Edge/SOLIDWORKS) and illustration tools (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, KeyShot, Alias) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine machine attributes related to human factors and appearance.
• Define attributes like shape, color schemes, operator station layouts, and control/display configuration.
• Construct scale mock-ups and models to evaluate design and functionality.
• Build and test prototypes to evaluate design and functionality.
• Analyze specifications to balance performance, functionality, cost, and manufacturability.
• Review designs for compliance with standards, regulatory, and contract requirements.
• Create and maintain essential design documentation including models, drafts, and renderings.
• Provide solutions to complex issues while balancing multiple projects.
