Job summary

Amazon is seeking an innovative Industrial Design Engineer to lead cross-functional design and deployment of material handling systems across multiple building types. You will collaborate with internal customers to define ambiguous problems, write technical specs, and scale new technologies while managing multiyear budgets.

Role requires up to 50% travel and willingness to relocate near a corporate office. You will build strong relationships with FC leadership and engineering teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management.
• Experience with MS Excel, MS Project, CAD software.
• Experience in design/innovation, manufacturing, process or industrial engineering.
• Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions for sortation and transport networks.
• Define ambiguous problems and develop technical specifications for equipment deployment.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for high-quality solutions.
• Balance business value and technology risk while leading multiple projects.
