Job summary

Amazon is seeking an innovative Industrial Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of material handling systems across multiple facilities. You will collaborate with internal customers, define ambiguous problems, write technical specs, and scale new technologies with multi-year budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of project management in design/innovation, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related.
• Experience with automated or non-automated material handling equipment.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical strategy for a material handling equipment lifecycle organization.
• Provide program leadership and technological integration across multiple teams.
• Lead cross-functional communications and strategic planning for deployment.
• Define program scope and technical/business requirements for design and field teams.
• Evaluate solutions and balance business value with technology risk.
• Travel up to 50% to engage with internal and external leaders.
