Job summary

Murphy and Nolan Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operator to cut materials with saws/lathe and manage incoming/outgoing inventory. You will package products for shipment, verify packing slips, and load/unload trucks using forklifts or cranes. After training, you will measure materials with calipers, catalog inventory, and put products away.

The role emphasizes safety and reliability; work hours are Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–12:30am, with a potential CDL-based driving backup requirement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or High School Equivalent strongly preferred.
• Mathematical ability to sort, check, count, measure, and verify numbers and or product shipped or received.
• Demonstrated computer skills in the use of company ERP System as required.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment after training.
• Ability to read and write.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork, perform math calculations and perform computer data entry.
• Valid NY State Class B driver’s license and/or CDL endorsement a plus, for back-up driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial cutting equipment (saw and/or lathe) to cut materials as requested and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Unload incoming trucks and move products to proper staging areas using a forklift, pallet jack or crane.
• Receive incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase orders, invoices, or other documents to verify accuracy of shipment.
• Prepare orders for shipment by retrieving inventory and packaging appropriately for damage free delivery.
• Maintain a neat and clean work area by sweeping floors, disposing of cardboard, banding, or packing materials, and removing debris.
• After training, use equipment to accurately measure materials, color code, catalog, log inventory, and put product away.
