Industrial Custodian - Maintenance Team

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Industrial Cleaner to join our Maintenance team.The Industrial Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall safety of our production facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring that the manufacturing environment is kept in optimal condition for production efficiency and worker safety.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Custodian, your primary responsibilities will include ensuring that all areas of the facility are cleaned, sanitized, and well-maintained. You will work closely with the Maintenance team to help us maintain a safe and pleasant environment for all employees and visitors.

Facility Cleaning:

Clean and maintain all production areas, including floors, walls, countertops, equipment, and machinery, to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Regularly sweep, mop, and vacuum production floors, using industrial-grade equipment and cleaning agents.

Clean air ducts, vents, and other ventilation systems to ensure proper air circulation.

Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, power washers, forklift, and personnel lift

Dispose of trash, recycling, and other waste materials according to company policies.

Cleaning and upkeep of exterior grounds

Equipment Maintenance:

Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment, tools, and machines to prevent the buildup of dust and debris.

Assist in cleaning and maintaining the water system.

Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Safety and Sanitation Compliance:

Adhere to company safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Follow all OSHA and industry-specific safety regulations when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Report safety hazards or maintenance needs to the supervisor immediately.

Miscellaneous Duties:

Assist with special cleaning tasks or projects as needed.

Support the production team in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work, ideally in an industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies and equipment, including trash and waste containers.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently while also collaborating with other team members.
• Honesty, dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
• Must be able to follow instructions and safety procedures.
