Full Time Custodian - Maintenance Team

We are currently seeking a dependable and dedicated Custodian to join our Maintenance team. If you take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment, we'd love to meet you!

As a Custodian, your primary responsibilities will include ensuring that all areas of the office, showroom, break rooms, and bathrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and well-maintained. You will work closely with the Maintenance team to help us maintain a safe and pleasant environment for all employees and visitors.

Essential Duties

1. Sweep, mop, scrub, and wash floors in office areas, breakrooms, lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
2. Clean and sanitize restrooms daily, ensuring supplies such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and other restroom essentials are always stocked. Perform tasks including wiping down glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, and maintaining clean walls, floors, and partitions.
3. Vacuum office areas weekly and clean high-traffic public areas daily, addressing spills or stains immediately.
4. Maintain cleanliness in breakrooms: mop and sweep floors, wipe down countertops, tables, chairs, and appliances (refrigerators, microwaves, vending machines).
5. Collect and dispose of building trash daily, replacing liners and ensuring waste containers are properly maintained.
6. Clean and maintain windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces throughout the facility.
7. Sanitize high-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles, light switches, stair railings, time clocks) to promote a healthy work environment.
8. Maintain and monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, ensure proper inventory levels, and notify supervisors when items need replenishing.
9. Follow the cleaning schedule and ensure all areas are inspected and cleaned according to established guidelines.
10. Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors, including malfunctioning equipment or hazardous conditions.
11. Ensure janitorial storage areas are organized and free from clutter.
12. Perform additional cleaning or maintenance duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work, ideally in an industrial or office setting.
2. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
3. Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies and equipment, including trash and waste containers.
4. Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, and safety practices.
5. Ability to work independently and efficiently while also collaborating with other team members.
6. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage work schedules effectively.
7. Honesty, dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
8. Must be able to follow instructions and safety procedures.
