Job summary

Lumafield is seeking a driven Applications Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. As an Applications Engineer you will own technical delivery for our customers, becoming an expert in Lumafield's scanners and software to help customers achieve business results with industrial CT scanners.

A growing share of our systems are deployed inline or line-adjacent, where you will design and tune scan recipes, build automated workflows, fixtures, and custom tooling to deliver repeatable,

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Metallurgical, Plastics, or a related engineering field.
• 2+ years of professional engineering, applications, technical support, technical sales, or production experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers.
• Comfort with agentic coding tools to build tools and automations.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude with fixtures, tolerances, and part fabrication.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, ~30%.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert of Lumafield's scanners across all product lines and run scans on varied parts.
• Own post-sale technical execution for customer accounts.
• Build automated inspection solutions and workloads for inline deployments.
• Develop custom tooling, scripts, and integrations to solve customer problems.
• Design and iterate fixturing for repeatable, production-ready scans.
• Run evaluation scans and demonstrations to illustrate CT capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive product improvements.
• Document workflows, recipes, and training for customer independence.
