Job summary

Lumafield is seeking an Applications Engineer to own technical delivery for customers and become an expert in our scanners and software. You’ll design automated inspection workflows, build custom tools, and guide customers to measurable business results with CT scanners.

This hands-on role spans hardware, software, automation, and customer relationships, with about 30% travel. Collaboration with success, architecture, product, and engineering is routine.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Metallurgical, Plastics, or related engineering field.
• 2+ years in an engineering, applications, technical support, technical sales, or production role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers.
• Willingness to travel ~30% and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert of Lumafield's scanners across product lines.
• Own post-sale technical execution for customer accounts.
• Build automated inspection workflows and tuning for inline deployments.
• Use agentic coding tools to build custom tooling, scripts, and integrations.
• Design and iterate fixturing for repeatable production-ready scans.
• Document workflows and training for customer independence.
