Tacoma Screw Products, a long‑standing distributor of industrial supplies, fasteners, and tools, seeks a Counter Sales Associate at our Caldwell store. You will be the first point of contact for customers, assisting them in selecting, applying, and purchasing a wide range of fasteners, hardware, tools and shop supplies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of retail experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy to process orders and manage inventory.
• Ability to calculate pricing and manage multiple customer needs efficiently.
• Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Self-motivated with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in and telephone customers with product inquiries, special requests, and pricing.
• Identify customer needs, clarify product specifications, and locate or retrieve products.
• Finalize transactions and assist with product shipments when necessary.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.
• Promote company products and services to drive additional sales; maintain a clean, organized storefront.
• Represent Tacoma Screw Products as a pillar of the Tacoma Screw way.
