Job summary

Symbotic is seeking an IC-S Technical Program Manager, R&D to lead Industrial Controls workstreams for strategic customer NPI programs. You will align engineering, product, manufacturing, suppliers, and operations to deliver production-ready automation systems safely, on time, and within budget.

You will manage budgets, integrated master schedules, and vendor relationships across PLC, electrical, software, and internal tools domains, with travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience or equivalent work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems, Software or related).
• Proven experience delivering complex electro-mechanical, robotics, automation, or industrial systems through full NPI lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Industrial Controls workstreams for strategic customer NPI programs.
• Manage budgets, baselines, schedules, and program plans using MS Project and Jira.
• Own relationships with external controls vendors and systems integrators, including SOW governance and milestones.
• Maintain risk registers and drive mitigations to closure; escalate baselines at risk.
• Coordinate across multiple teams to keep workstreams synchronized.
• Lead technical and gate reviews with data-driven reporting to leadership.
