Job summary

Symbotic LLC is seeking an IC S Technical Program Manager, R&D to lead Industrial Controls workstreams for strategic customer NPI programs. You will coordinate engineering, product, manufacturing, and suppliers to deliver production-ready automation systems on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include establishing budgets and schedules, managing vendor relationships, and driving risk mitigations. The role requires 8+ years in related fields and a strong engineering background.

Qualifications

8+ years of related experience in program management or engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience delivering complex electro‑mechanical or automation systems through the full NPI lifecycle.
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and risk registers with MS Project and Jira.
Experience with external vendors and systems integrators (SOWs, milestones, escalations).
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Industrial Controls workstreams for strategic NPI programs.
Manage budgets, baselines, integrated master schedules and program plans.
Own vendor and systems integrator relationships and SOW governance.
Maintain risk registers and drive mitigations to closure.
Coordinate across Product, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Internal Tools Software, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Field Operations.
Lead technical reviews, design reviews, gate reviews and executive status reviews with data-driven reporting.
Support prototype builds, engineering validation, system integration, manufacturing readiness, FAT/SAT and site activities.
