Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) seeks a Controls Technician to join the Maintenance team in Franklin Park, IL. The role focuses on monitoring and improving control system reliability for automated production equipment, troubleshooting to minimize production interruptions, and supporting preventive maintenance initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong PLC/controls knowledge, electrical aptitude, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient plant

Qualifications

High school diploma; technical schooling or certs preferred.
Experience as a control technician in industrial manufacturing.
Detail-oriented with mechanical/electrical aptitude.
Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, sensors and drives.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair process and production equipment.
Monitor downtime and drive problem solving initiatives.
Support preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
Assist in equipment installation coordination and upgrades.
Maintain electrical control systems on motors, conveyors, pumps and hydraulics.
Communicate issues with Controls Engineer and team.
