Commercial Metals Company is hiring for an electrical maintenance role in New Jersey. You'll diagnose, repair, and optimize electrical systems and control equipment across facilities and substations.

The job emphasizes PLC/automation, preventive maintenance, and safe operation in varied environments. Qualified candidates bring at least 2 years of electrical maintenance experience, familiarity with PLCs/digital logic, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with Predictive Maintenance Technology and grounding systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs or digital logic interfaces (block/ladder).
• Able to lift up to 90 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and remedy electrical problems and substations.
• Install, monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability of electrical and control systems.
• Learn and maintain electromechanical starters and motors with control boards, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs.
• Procure parts to maintain equipment and lead annual testing/inspection requirements.
