Job summary

Tamarack Foods in Americus, Georgia, is seeking a skilled Controls & ENI Technician to join our Maintenance team. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving PLCs, HMIs, electrical controls, instrumentation, and industrial networks to keep our production lines running safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance, can read schematics, work with 120/240/480V systems, and support automation improvement projects including VFDs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience working with 120V, 240V, and 480V systems.
• Knowledge of motor controls, sensors, and industrial automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC-controlled equipment.
• Support and modify PLC programs as needed.
• Troubleshoot HMI interfaces and communication systems.
• Maintain and support Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Assist with automation improvement projects.
• Perform backups and documentation of control systems.
