Job summary
Land O\'Lakes in Kent, OH is seeking a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to design, develop, install, manage and maintain equipment used to monitor and control processes in our Dairy Foods manufacturing plant. The role emphasizes safe and efficient operation of systems and close collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with manufacturing experience and has hands-on experience with ladder
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of manufacturing experience
- Ladder logic and text-based programming experience
- Proficient in CAD/drafting software for machine controls
- Knowledge of electrical components and troubleshooting
- Experience with DCSs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain control systems for process equipment
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, purchasing and design teams
- Improve automation and controls; adjust process parameters/equipment to increase efficiency
- Travel up to 10% and support 1st shift with possible off-hours
