Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking a skilled Control Panel Technician to assemble, wire, test, and document industrial control panels and automation systems. The role requires interpreting electrical schematics and working with PLCs and motor controls.

You will collaborate with engineers, electricians, and project teams to ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while supporting FAT and field commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree/certificate in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience assembling and wiring industrial control panels or related electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with electrical test equipment (DMMs, continuity testers).
• Familiarity with relays, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, power supplies, PLCs and motor controls.
• Knowledge of UL 508A panel construction practices and control systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble industrial control panels, junction boxes, and operator interface enclosures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Install, wire, label, and terminate components.
• Route and organize control, power, and instrumentation wiring.
• Perform panel modifications and engineering change implementations.
• Conduct continuity checks, point-to-point verification, and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve wiring discrepancies.
• Document testing results and maintain production records.
• Support FAT activities and field installations as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
