Job summary

Barney’s Pumps in Davenport, FL is seeking a full-time industrial control panel fabricator, assembler, and wire technician. The role runs Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, in an open-air shop environment.

You will follow electrical schematics, lay out drawings, and work with power and hand tools to assemble panels, wire copper conductors, and fabricate components from aluminum stock, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required; electrical vocational training is a plus.
• 2 years’ experience building, wiring, and maintaining industrial motor controls preferred.
• Experience with VFDs, soft starters, and PLCs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow electrical schematics, layout drawings, and instructions to build control panels within time goals.
• Safely operate power and hand tools to cut, drill, tap, punch, and assemble components.
• Fabricate panel components from aluminum sheet metal, stock, and related materials.
• Cut, bend, and form copper wiring using cutters/strippers/crimpers.
• Work in a team-focused environment with attention to safety and quality.
