Job summary

Accelera is seeking an Industrial Control Panel Technician to build bespoke control panels for automation and electrical applications. You will interpret engineering schematics and wiring diagrams to assemble panels from enclosure layout to wiring, labeling, and testing.

The role requires precise wiring, component installation, and adherence to UL508A standards, with a focus on quality and safety in a collaborative shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling automation panels, electrical cabinets or industrial control systems.
• Proficient in analyzing electrical layouts, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Skilled in wire termination, crimping, routing and labeling techniques.
• Mechanical assembly and enclosure modification experience.
• Strong diagnostic abilities to resolve wiring and assembly challenges.
• Familiar with standard industrial electrical components.
• UL508A knowledge and MTR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Construct and wire custom control panels by interpreting engineering schematics and diagrams.
• Organize enclosure layouts and install components to optimize space and functionality.
• Perform mechanical modifications including drilling, cutting, and tapping for enclosures.
• Manage wire routing, termination, and labeling for all connections.
• Use PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, relays, and power supplies to build robust systems.
• Identify and resolve wiring discrepancies to align with design specs.
• Maintain high quality to ensure safe, accurate panels.
• Adhere to shop protocols and client electrical standards.
• Assist in final inspection and testing to ensure readiness.
• Maintain a safe working environment with organized practices.
