Job summary

Epstein Architecture, Engineering and Construction in Chicago, IL seeks a Construction Project Executive to lead our Construction group, oversee in-house Design‑Build teams, and drive successful delivery of large industrial and manufacturing projects.

The ideal candidate has 12–20+ years of construction PM experience, strong leadership, and a proven ability to mentor staff, maintain client relationships, and ensure quality, schedule, cost, safety, and satisfaction across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 12–20+ years of successful construction project management experience.
• Significant experience managing large industrial and/or manufacturing projects.
• Design‑Build experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead Project Managers, project teams, and site personnel.
• Strong knowledge of construction principles, contracts, and regulations.
• Understanding of risk management, safety, and project controls.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and oversight for the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring alignment with goals, client expectations, and Epstein standards.
• Oversee and support Project Managers and project teams across one or more projects.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve construction processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Mentor, train, and develop construction staff to support growth.
• Ensure effective coordination among Construction, Architecture, Engineering, and other disciplines.
• Review project reporting and provide clear updates on progress, schedule, costs, and risks.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead pursuits and preconstruction activities with business development involvement.
• Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships; approve bids and subcontracts.
