Job summary

Epstein seeks a Construction Project Executive in Chicago to lead in‑house Design‑Build project teams and PMs across one or more large industrial projects. This role emphasizes quality, schedule, cost, safety, and client satisfaction, while mentoring staff and building client relationships.

The ideal candidate has extensive PM experience, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of construction practices. This position requires travel and offers ESOP and broad professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• 12+ years of construction project management experience with leadership.
• Experience delivering large industrial/manufacturing projects.
• Design‑Build experience preferred.
• Ability to lead PMs, teams, and field staff.
• Strong knowledge of construction principles, scheduling, estimating and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for successful delivery of construction projects.
• Oversee Project Managers and project teams across one or more projects.
• Develop and improve construction project processes and practices.
• Mentor and develop Construction team members.
• Coordinate requirements across disciplines and stakeholders.
• Provide clear reporting on progress, schedule, costs, risks, and KPIs.
• Foster strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead project pursuits, preconstruction, and business development activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
• Oversee bid packages, bid processes, and subcontracts administration.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and overall project performance.
• Lead jobsite inspections and progress meetings.
• Oversee project documentation and closeout activities.
• Prepare status reports for clients and executives.
